My favorite comfort meal is a bacon, lettuce, tomato, mayo sandwich, with black pepper. Yet i don't eat bacon. Today I literally priced out fake bacon, turkey, i think it was. It's worth a try.

Growing up, my father loved beefsteak tomatos on blts. Like lettuce, it's nice against the drier parts of the sandwich. I think it's something about how the bacon grease, tomato, mayo and black pepper mixes. Bacon is an amazing flavor though. I just know how my body reacted to it after years of vegetarianism. I got really sick.

I worked in an Italian grocery store in high school. The deli was expensive but they aged their meats and cut off alot of spoilage. I got a free sandwich each workday. Beautiful roast beef, redish and jagged, not brown and processed, I always chose. With a fresh kaiser roll, mayo, lettuce and i forget if anything else, but i could layer on the roast beef thick. Really thick. Criminally, perhaps. I still remember it with awe and nostalgia.

Ages ago I was living in PR for a few months at my Aunt's and she would buy turkey ham for sandwiches, was pretty good. I was looking for pork subsitutes, because I wanted to convert to Judaism because Jesus was Jewish. That's how much I was a believer back in the day.

Some Jewish woman a met a couple of years ago, she told me how she tried ham once, and just didn't like the taste at all, so never again.

Once my body wasn't use to processing it anymore, i saw how my body, at least, reacted to it. It's kind of like milk like that.

I'm not a fan of glazed ham, i dislike it but bacon and salami are both hard to beat.

Ok, so, I'll let you in on the thing: I'm vegan, so, I don't actually eat dogs or any other animal products or want to eat them. Why, in our society, do we consider it terrible to torture, kill and eat dogs and cats but consider it ok to do this to cows, pigs, sheep and chickens?

So, would you agree, then, that it's terrible to torture, kill and eat any animal, then?

Well, why not try vegan bacon and sausages, which taste just as good and don't involve that cruelty?

Yes I am against animal cruelty. But the animal can still be killed so long as there is a good reason like pest control or food. So long as the animal is put down as quickly as possible to avoid prolonged suffering (for instance a 22. to the head) is far better than the slow agonising death that farmers use to kill.
