... and aren't you basically saying you believe there is no God, and no bodily resurrection, and no judgement to come, and you won't be held accountable for the things you've done, because you want it to be true? That's not how reality works.

"Faith is the evidence of things not seen." What evidence do you have? You dismiss the possibility of eternal punishments and rewards of a Holy God, because it is undesirable if true? "consequences fallacy."

Have you given up on your Bible reading? Remember the Bible is a book with the answers in the back. Don't quit before you get to the good stuff, the New Testament.

On top of the assumption that OP means a literal bodily resurrection, which a lot of Christians now appear to be backpedaling on.

Well, I'm not backpedaling. The Bible promises that every human being will be resurrected bodily to give an account of themselves. Should villains like Hitler be allowed to escape justice? No, he will stand trial also, for all to see. In God's Holy eyes we are all evil sinners.

But! God has provided a path of forgiveness. God himself became a man (Jesus), took my sin on himself and died in my place, then rose again bodily the third day! He died in my place! He is my Savior, Redeemer and Friend. "whosoever" believes in him will find forgiveness.

Salvation is a free gift! Why would anyone refuse it, except that they are too proud to admit they are sinners in need of a Savior?

"I saw the dead, great and small standing before the throne, and the books were opened... and whosoever was not found written in the book of life was cast into the lake of fire." Rev 20:12-15
