No. But thats generally what a Government is supposed to do. Any African Warlord can protect the border anf uphold a Constitution, probably one that is skewed towards them. But only a Democratic Government will raise the living Standard of its people. This came from an American, but I can't remember who.

That is the problem. People like you insisting the government do things that aren’t permitted in the constitution = unconstitutional = illegal = tyranny. Supporting tyranny = traitor. Welcome to reality. Have a nice day.

The constitution is the people controlling the government. Anything not expressly written is not permitted. Standard of living is not written into the constitution. So it’s not their job. It’s called self determination which is freedom. Freedom is the core value in America.

True and yet, government is supposed to allow the conditions for the free flow of the economy. That is, government doesn't create jobs but is supposed to allow the conditions for it to flow and grow. If anything, where in the constitution does it say its ok for government to give protectionism to monopolies, subsidies and favoritism?
