LOL, "In criminal law, kidnapping is the unlawful carrying away and confinement of a person against their will." And we do not even detain all of them on top of that. But nice to see you arguing for kidnapping to be a get out of jail free card.

Calling something "unlawful" doesn't mean anything when the people responsible are also the ones enforcing the law in the first place.
