Could you add an alert as soon as someone makes a submission rather than waiting 12 hours to remind us?

Really, it was pure luck I found out how I can approve memes in the stream I bear the moderator badge on (foreign language stream). I only have an IQ between 120 and 126, and I code in C, C#, C++, Pascal, php, JavaScript, Lua, BlitzMax, Go, and I've been owner of several websites myself.... Don't expect too much of me :P

Right? It's really a pain that you have to go to your profile, go to your list of streams and don't click on the stream because you won't see the posts, gotta click on pending approvals. Just put a shortcut, pending approvals on out notifications.

My point exactly. Especially since the Foreign Language stream is not the busiest stream (and also, any language is allowed there, but I am only fluent in English and Dutch and I do understand a little bit of German and French, but I'm not too good in them), going through such a long way... well, perhaps I guess everybody using that stream now has the picture why it can take so long there. And perhaps (I would do this apart from the normal comment notification) an extra notification icon for pending memes, would be a good idea, so that no moderator can forget.

Yes I feel bad when I finally see it (though now I make a point to check everyday) some people have waited 6 hours or more. I know how frustrating that is when I'm waiting for my meme to feature in fun.

That's pretty cool you speak several languages. I'm trying to learn Spanish and Igbo.

Dutch people are expected to be fluent in over 500 languages (although it comes to no surprise nobody in the Netherlands is, and thus some 'experts' ring the alarm bells). When it comes to Spanish... I'm glad I can say "No comprendo Espanol". And handy sentences to know in German and French are "Sprechen Sie Englisch?" and "Parlez-vous anglais?" ("Do you speak English" in German and French respectively). I never heard of Igbo, though... But I must say that I do have a slight feeling with languages and grammar.

And yes, I agree having to wait for a meme to be accepted is frustrating, and now that I know how illogical the system works, I do understand why that is, though....

Igbo is a Nigerian dialect.
