Transgender people couldn't serve in the military until 2016, and yet somehow the country the managed to survive unharmed for the previous 240 years before that.

Again 240 years prior to 2016 the country managed just fine without transgender people in the military, and no one cared.

Anyone, and I mean anyone willing to pick up arms and fight and put their lives on the line for their country deserves more respect than a five time deferment bone spur coward.

Serving in the armed forces is not a right, so their willingness to fight is not the determining factor. But I agree with you, in that the willingness is admirable and worthy of respect
