Sure...plant cells are alive too. "life" can mean many things.
A "fetus" is defined as 8 weeks after conception.
At that point is it a "viable" life? That is- can it live independently from the mother/host?

Again the first point/question I have was if you think government can use abortion (or the outlawing of it) to make woman do something else with no choice.

I have to say, I'm not a fan of marriage, period. It is an outdated institution that has not evolved as humanity has. It's actually pretty barbaric, and as time marches on, not very effective.

It *can* work out. It doesn't always. There are so many factors involved that "success" is really more about the luck of the draw. And when it doesn't work, there is stigma and blame. No one ever thinks that maybe the problem is the idea of marriage itself. The concept hasn't kept up with changing gender roles either. But hey, that's just my opinion. I'm not trying to make anyone else believe it.
