To be fair, the EU isn't THAT bad. We get free movmemt through Europe and free Roaming. The EU brings free trade and economic prosperity. The Euro is perhaps the greatest achievement of European Unity. Democratic ideals are safe guarded and the EU represents the longest period of peace in Europe almost 80 years with no wars. Very impressive for Europe. (Excluding Yugoslavia) Additionally the EU Parliament has been steadily gaining power over the Council (of the Eu) and the Commission. Adding to that the EU is the MOST democratic for a organisation of its size. That being said, I think the EU needs to a democratically elected Prime President or a President of Europe. A democratization of the Commission and co. An increase of the Powers of the European Parliament to match that of the Bundestag or US Congress. A unified European Military which would absorb all member states Militaries into perhaps one of the biggest militaries in the world. A unified European Bordet patrol agency operating ilon all external EU borders. And a heck if a lot more. But to say that the EU is a scam is just insulting 80 years of hard work

While the EU has been used to make people rich, so have their countries become rich. Look at Greece! Who has been helping them through their economic recovery? The EU. Who forces other countries to uphold core democratic ideals such as Freedom of speech? The EU. While in mamy ways the EU is lacking, so long as it continues to uphold the Dream of European peace and unity, I'd be willing to lay down my life for it, and damn you American Swine if you can't understand patriotism!
