I would be impressed if someone had the skill and knowledge to fix their own car (as long as they did it properly, and didn't make it worse). So that's not laughable.

I don't really get the relevance of your comment anyway, even if you did find it laughable when people are competent to fix the things they use (since both men and women can fix cars).

Oh, i see what you're saying, and that WAS definitely a good point, but the intention of the joke was to point out that part of us that always wants to be capable and self sufficient in pretty much any situation, even though we may have no idea how to complete a task or figure out what to do in that given situation, if you can see what i'm trying to say. sorry if i caused any confusion. ;-)

Just about the upvotes, I don't mind when people comment without upvoting. Upvotes should go on memes that deserve to be moved up in the stream (ie, I dont think "automatic" upvotes help the site). I was actually kind of tickled when I saw this meme had 1 upvote and 4 comments. But anyway, whatever people do with their upvotes and downvotes is up to them.
