I know 2 or 3 people that have surfaced recently that may want to do that, not that I’d name names here but I’m pretty certain one is a high level user.
I started getting attacked for my repost your own meme event meme, I know it’s because it’s been top for ages and has over 200 upvotes now, as they wouldn’t care if it had 5 upvotes after a day.
I’ve seen comments elsewhere about it on other users memes as well, between the same people.
Then as my other meme now, reached top spot instead, which isn’t a repost, its being attacked again for the same reason. The top picture and first sentence have been used many times before, but I’ve added another template below and an extra joke I thought of myself. So I’m not worried about what they’re saying.
Funniest thing is one of them, their only meme that’s had any real succes in the last month I’d say was a clear repost from 2/3 days before they posted it, and they even acknowledged as much in a comment they made. So go figure.
They’ve also upvoted and commented positively on other users repost event memes before I posted mine, so maybe it’s just a problem with me as a user rather than the reposting of memes with that one?
