And... no; this is not meant to support Atheism. As a matter of fact, I am a Bible-believing Christian.

The reason why I've made this meme is for it to be applicable to all matters of interest or
controversy. Having said that, I do hope those given to conspiracy theories read this meme and apply it to their worldview.

But if you're thinking that the Evolutionary world-view has more evidence than Biblical Christianity then I would have to disagree. We have archaeological, astronomical, historical, and yes... experiential evidence.

Why is the latter just as valid as others is because it's not purely by feelings. We see God working in our lives which, therefore, goes beyond superstitious inclinations. If experience should not count as evidence, then why are witnesses continued to be used in the courtroom?

And even if the other side have more evidence, ours are more compelling. Truth is not always proved quantitatively but qualitatively.

QUESTIONING THE NATURE, LEGITIMACY, AND ORIGIN OF WHAT IS "EVIDENCE" | made w/ Imgflip meme maker

In other words, what we see as "Evidence" or "Reality" is really, an illusion?

I'm up for questioning reality too, but I primarily meant that anytime there exists definitional control for others over what gets defined as "evidence," then there still exists control.

It only occurs when one wishes to engage in intellectual dishonesty.

If you argue that 2 + 2 = 4, but I say "It doesn't really mean 4, because there are always variables at play" then I'm being dishonest, dismissing the clear truth.

Intellectual dishonesty was exactly my point, the implication being that fewer are really alert to that point than they suppose.

Therefore, I argue, question virtually everything.

I see your point.

So, I'm curious; are you a Hindu?

I don't really fit in any box. The principle I described was chiefly political, though I do think very few religious people apply enough questioning to that which they take on faith. Your mileage of course may vary.

Could you give me an example of what many of the religious take by faith instead of questioning it?

The hundreds of pretty obvious contradictions of the Bible are as legion as those in the Quran or the Book of Mormon or the Hebrew Bible, and they are not fixed by apologetics. Follwers of each are willing to point them out in the others', but not their own texts.

Most do not reach that point of questioning without great pain first, of the kind that can't be fixed with allusions to Job or trite quotes out of the psalms.

You're trying to draw me into a debate I'm not interested in. But since you asked me, I have answered.

I take it that you yourself found those contradictions and not taken by others?
0 ups, 6y
Both. Suffice to say I know the book better than 95% of the professing.

And again: You're trying to draw me into a debate I'm not interested in.

I recommend leaving my observation at the social and political where we can agree.

Actually I'm not. And in my defense, you've never expressed your unwillingness to debate. My response regardless of your reply is this:

If the Bible is true as it claimed to be inerrant and inspired, then any miracle to any claim in scripture, can rightly be taken by faith. It may be circular reasoning, but that source proved itself.

I apologize, I didn't see the last part of your post.
