It's just meant to show we're no where near "full". There are 7.6 billion people on earth. 324 million live in these United States. We've got room.

Cities provide more opportunities, culture and entertainment. I prefer living just outside of a big city myself.

Opportunities yes. Also poverty, filth, drugs and vice, congestion, pollution, crime and stress. You have the right idea. Even when I was living in a big city growing up, my grandparents had a farm with 100 acres just 2 hours away. I was lucky.

We always lived within driving distance of a city. But never in them. I lived in the burbs for a while. Easier commute but, like you said, crime was more than I could handle. I'm country born and raised but I loved San Diego county! Lol.

Don't think crime doesn't occur in rural communities. My principal was shot to death in a town of less than 200 one sunny day. The town I live in now has 5,000 souls minus a few that had their skulls hammered in, some shot, overdosed, shoved out of moving cars and so on. It seems like cities have more crime but per capita rural areas definitely compete.

Yes, some small towns have significant drug crime due to lack of entertainment and violence, this is true.

I'm in a "the whole world sucks and nothing matters" kind of state of mind. Can you tell? Lol.

Don't forget...cties with high rise apartment complexes have hundreds of people living on 1/4 acre.
