Always found it interesting how the VHS / Beta battle was won by the manipulation of the public through advertisements over quality. Although I hardly remember beta max machines myself.
It competed with VHS recorders during the early 80's but got beat out even thought it was the superior product. Kinda like laser disks and DVD's, i think.
