I've had other people tell me the same. They start getting into deeper conversations and they just stop visiting. Did you know they travel in pairs to spy on eachother because if anyone converts they are shunned by their entire church. They're not even allowed to read about other religions. Like they are afraid.

I think their churches also have no windows, like Freemason buildings. Well, like the scripture I presented says, works will not save you so I certainly don't agree with their doctrine. But I have a soft spot for them and always try to leave them a kind word when I see them set up with their magazines in town because my mother told me how wonderful and kind my great grandmother was.

I think they are some of the kindest People and you have to give them credit for their efforts. It can't be easy to go door to door like they do.

The JW like to point out the "pagan roots" of many of our celebrations but they really are missing the point and meaning behind it. The eggs represent new life= the Resurrection

No, they did. Even though my maternal grandmother and great grandmother was religious, both my parents were atheists. I was always agnostic until I found my church though. It helped that I studied alot about military history and was congruent with the fact their are no atheists in the ka.. umm, foxhole.

Talking of JW. Really grinds my gears they have this thing, where you cannot be the donor for a blood transfusion, even if you’re a match and the person needing it is family!

Is it being a donor, being a recipient or both? I will say that was probably a good thing when hiv (if i remember correct) was being passed around during the blood scandals (forget the proper term) in the 80's/90's. But yeah, it almost seems to go against thou shall not kill to deprive someone of a life saving opportunity.

Well we had a guy and lady used to knock on our door once a week. My and my ex would actually have friendly conversations with them and they even came in for a cuppa once or twice. They were nice people.
My girlfriend put him on the spot once though, we knew he had 2 daughters so she asked him “if your daughter right now needed a transfusion and you’re a match, would you save her life?” He never said yes and just left it as “it’s a decision they’d have to make at the time” lol.

Yea, I don't get that. They also are not allowed to get involved in government at all. I'm not sure they even vote. They are not allowed to serve in the military.
