Ah man Jackfrost and gumby! it's been awhile sense I've seen them. Natalie_vance is gone. Haven't seen much of ohwell but he's still kickin. Hard to remember some names, my upvote was my user dictionary but I deleted old acc. Got sick of flip but came back after 2-3 weeks lol. I rarely even check out the streams any more.

The consequence? Memes by others got to the front page and Imgflip didn't die.

Early 2017, Dash had a meme asking folks to post a link to their 1st 3 memes, no matter how embarrasing. So Raydog's memes from he was a newb had only 1 or 3 points but then started racking them up within minutes of posting the link.

Now I know memeing includes reposting, but for crying out loud, if someone compliments him on the genius of the meme, yeah, he should thank them but also tell them it's borrowed.

Yes, it amazes me how creative, seemingly original memes get ignored while obvious reposts or, as you say, insipid nothing memes get gushed over. Another memer was showing me a few memes he had posted the other day. Well done interesting memes with 2 or 3 uv's and then another one he posted as an after thought that was like 210 and it had 90 ups and thousands of views. Maybe it's all timing.
