My grandparents didnt give my parents any money(they did give them education, values, food and love tho) and my parents are still very successful. yeah a homeless 97 year old is pretty sad, but what was she doing earlier in life. Choices have impacts, and we cant just keep everybody alive. Not to mention she would be eligible for medicare, Medicaid which includes nursing homes, and food stamps. So she made bad decisions earlier in life or is a super rare coincidence, and on top of that doesnt know how to use benefits.

Even if your single mother doesnt give you anything, she would be giving you food and basic necessities or you would be in an orphanage. Yeah. Life isnt perfect.
You still have access to schooling and if you do very well you can make yourself a great life. If you dont do very well you can get a 9-5 and support yourself. The problem is that parents arent teaching values. WTF is the govt supposed to do with that.

Most poorer people aren't poor because they spend their money unwisely. They're poor because they have no choice. And it's not even their faults a lot of the time.

No. Im advocating for money not to be taken from the rich. As I said before, if a poor teen would finish high school, get a full time job, and wait until after 21 to have kids, you only have a 2% chance of staying in poverty. Not to mention the poor in the US are upper middle class on a world scale. The poor arent starving in the us, they are dying of obesity.
When you see income inequality, you think bad. I think people have different skills and knowledge, so naturally some people will make more. There will always be "poor" people, they are just the bottom of the society. No matter how much money you take from the rich and give to the poor, there will always be poor people. I am advocating no greed, only capitalism with a ladder up and equal opportunities but also the ability to spend money on your childs success.
The reason poor kids are often poor is because their parents are often separated and dont teach them good values. How does the government get parents to teach kids values. Giving the parents money doesnt work.
My family and so many others came to dirt poor and with work ethic got a life a billion times better than in their old country. Hispanic immigrants under the poverty line are rich compared to their cousins at home.
