While I understand where you're coming from, Raydog does have a point, though. When someone continuously comments on your memes but refuses to upvote them, that's considered rude. I realize it isn't a law that you HAVE to upvote anyone's memes even when you comment on them, but this site has always had "unspoken rules" and that's one of them. The newer users seem to have a problem with upvoting for some reason, but then expect everyone to just hand them upvotes.

Its not difficult to upvote and especially so if you're commenting on someone's meme, but not long ago there we’re multiple threads on the same meme where Raydog lambasted several new users after each comment saying "why don't you upvote memes?" One user even apologised and said they thought they had, which certainly happens.
That’s embarrassing and not nice for new users to have come at them straight away, especially from the top user, as like you say this isn’t real life just a meme site, with that in mind I also think Raydog needs to take that approach too and not care who specifically may not upvote his memes and constantly call them out for it looking desperate.
Also the copy and paste from elsewhere is a little tiresome now but oh well. I only upvote and comment on one of his memes if I find it funny (or haven’t seen it on other sites multiple times)

One time when I DID upvote his meme, he told me his “motto”: “why didn’t you upvote?”. It was crazy, and I told him I did. But of course he doesn’t respond cuz he’s too good. And thanks so much for sticking with me for so long lord 🥂

You’re a good person. You created the events stream and tried to make awareness for peoples events relentlessly too. I’m not sure there’s another events stream, so more people should follow it, as all the info for your events can be put into one place and we can all share our upcoming events easily. Also, you don’t have to feel obligated to upvote all of his memes, hell, you don’t have to upvote any meme of mine you don’t find funny. It’s all about the comments section really anyway.

Can you please understand that I was actually the first one to upvote his memes back when he had 18 million? Then Dashhopes left…and I realized something important.

So new people needn't be reprimanded by the top user on their first comment ever? That's a little embarrassing I think.

For the record, I make sure to upvote and reply to all comments on my memes AND visit those people's profiles and upvote and comment on their memes even if it's just one, because I think that's the curteous thing to do. To me that's a bigger favor because upvotes on featured memes are more points than upvotes and replies on comments. Someone who has 19 million points should know that and find a few moments to spare occasionally to do that also.

I don't visit profiles unless I saw a meme of theirs that I found funny, to check out some of their other memes. I don't have a lot of extra time to jump around from meme to meme as other users might.

But like I said, I see where you're coming from, but I also know why Raydog said what he said. Maybe he didn't use tact, but if someone can't handle being told they're doing something wrong, then maybe this site isn't for you.

At the end of the day it's just a meme site and isn't important in the grand scheme of life.

I don't know. He isn't the only one submitting reposts. Although a lot of his aren't reposts that I know of. But I think the whole separate repost stream is pointless.

I’m not so bothered about reposts of a really funny meme template that are similar, or similar themed posts. I.e the “You don’t Say” ones now. It’s more a gripe with copy and pasting from elsewhere. Just changing the text of something is not creative or deserving of 300+ upvotes. I’ve used templates such as this or even just cartoons I haven’t drawn. But I’ll add a meme template or something else to change it and make it original.
Like you said, you can pretty much google and meme that’s been made and you won’t feature it here.

I've deleted two memes because I have seen them before and I didn't even have to Google them. I don't like deleting someone's meme, but I did post the rules. If I delete one of yours, you'll know why. And I'm sorry a head of time. lol

I think it's pointless too and too many people do it. But it wouldn't bother me if it doesn't specifically say in the fun stream "no reposts" just my 2 cents.

In the grand scheme of things. If you’re constantly pulling 200+ upvotes. I suppose it doesn’t really matter.
I’ve noticed when people haven’t upvoted. But on a couple of occasions I’ve had a whole conversation thread with people and on the last comment I’d explain I’d politely suggest they upvote this meme and others if they comment also going forward. But if a memes going To be successful, it’ll gain the upvotes within a few hours anyway.
