because it is usually never a zero sum game.
politics are the amalgamation of many things:culture, race, upbringing, religion and of course your own, individuality.
then add on to that:media, education, outside influences.
and you can begin to see how complicated politics can become.
we are in a constant state of growing, expanding, learning.
and in politics,we are rarely %100 right,or %100 wrong.
we all overlap to some degree.
except the extremes.those f**kers are true believers, and exist solely to promote their own rigid ideology.
avoid those people.
all politics is,when reduced down to it's most basic, concentrated expression:
"what should we do"?
that's it.that's all it really is.
but this is why engaging with each other is so vital to prefect our own politics.
so today you are a libertarian,in a decade you will (not may..will) be a different flavor of libertarian.
don't ever stop questioning, don;t ever stop learning, don't ever get complacent in your own "righteousness".challenge yourself.
and you do that by hanging with people who make you feel stupid.
*that's what I still do lol.
hang with people you disagree with,to understand why you disagree.
because it is a rare person who can view the entire tapestry in one view.
we all hold a piece,or key understanding that can help another person.
a society is built on community.
