Not true, unfortunately. One fell on me from the ceiling and bit me. Hurt like heck and I had a bad allergic reaction.

My shoulder and back swelled and turned blotchy. The worst part was the difficulty in breathing. My kids called the paramedics, who gave me some type of anti-venom. It was indeed scary.

I have read that while rare bites do happen. I don't I could tell the difference between these guys and silverfish.

Well I have heard silverfish bites can make for similar reactions. And strange I used to think they were cute bugs, too! lol
