The only thing more spectacular than this was, a pilot fighting for the allies over Africa saw a squadron of 6 Italian bombers, he was low on amo, shot 1 down and ran out, he got shot down and because they were in formation he rammed one of them and they ran into each other or something like that... cant remember all the dets but it was something like that..

I'm still amazed that a .45 penetrated a cockpit window, that glass is thick but it's not impossible with the right angle and I guess that varies from aircraft to aircraft. Not to mention the plane would be going pretty fast. Great meme!

There was another plane with a camera attached to it. It was luck that the other plane was nearby. The American pilot played dead in hopes the Jap would not strafe him. The Jap flew close to check. I was mistaken about the Japanese guy baling. He opened his canopy to see better if the American was dead. Maybe his canary had gunk on it. The American was ready with the .45 when the plane got close. Hell on an aim. He fired more than 1 shot but hit him once in the head.
