When I was a kid I remember having to navigate around mounds of dead fish and seagulls piled up along the shores of Lakes Erie and Huron. It was so bad it gave me nightmares for years. The lakes are a lot cleaner now, so is the air. We still have a way to go though. Still a lot of toxins in the water and soils.
