Strangely,it does me too,which is the only way to survive the Through-The-Looking-Glass political situation we find ourselves in!
Never has it been more divisive,& this is NOT by accident.
The more we fight amongst ourselves, defending rich crooks who have only their own interests at heart,the less likely it is that we will notice who is picking our pockets most outrageously.
Both parties are pickpockets;its just that one is slightly less destructive in how they choose to do it.
Some pickpockets kindly leave us enough to muddle through with.
Others grab it all,whilst loudly proclaiming that they support "family values",& "law & order"-when their own actions belie their self serving speeches!
We are cattle to them.
A decent dairy man understands that he must make sure his herd receives adequate forage,water,protection,& vet services as needed,or milk production will fail.
Ditto for ranching. If cattle are used poorly,fed contaminated feed,polluted water,& left untreated for disease,the consequences to the entire herd can be devastating. Unfortunately, our current administration has the attitude of a CAFO plant towards the citizens of the United States.
The contempt in which a significant portion of our legislators hold us when we provide them with lifelong salaries & excellent health care is stunningly clear in the votes they cast,which are always (surprise!)-in favor of large campaign contributors.
This is why campaign finance reform(I can hear the snores!)-as boring as it sounds,is important to our survival as a nation.
