If you notice, they also screwed up search terms for the regular templates we use in comments. We have been complaining about this comment timer for ages.
The comment timer would be a nice thing to get rid of. Especially when there are times where I have to wait 3 minutes to correct a spelling mistake or continue a comment that I accidently posted while typing
While I understand that comment timer is supposed to be a way to prevent spammers and trolls from harassing and spamming I think that once we have established ourselves here as users with good standing in the community that we should receive the benefit of no timer. But say a person is getting flagged for abuse or harassment or spam, then they get the comment timer. I'm sure there has to be a way for something like that to be implemented. Maybe I'll send it in feedback.
I definitely see how that could be a feature you unlock.
Like, how at 1000 points you get to start using images. And whatever the requirement was to have a tagline...at 250k no more comment timer, something like that
Sometimes maybe they try and implement a change. I recall the big stink over politics moved them to split the streams. We didn't necessarily ask them to do that, but I think it's been a satisfactory change now that everyone has gotten used to it. So I am still holding out hope.
All of that happened around the time I started. I definitely think it made a difference for the better.
Now, if only the reposts would stay in the repost section...
I do mean the actual founder and creator of imgflip. I sent the suggestion about the comment timer and he actually replied. Replies are a rare thing. He said he will add it to the list of issues they are taking a closer look at. So yeah! Maybe they will do something. He didn't make any promises, but the fact that I received a reply and it's being looked at is pretty cool.
I'm really surprised the founder himself replied to you.
Maybe there's hope.
I don't suppose one of the issues they're looking at is the quality of some of the content
