Sadly,this seems to be how Trump affects quite a few fellow Americans. They are so awed by the cult of celebrity & power that they believe that if he's rich he MUST be smart & trustworthy. He's the president isn't he? The truth is not so simple. It's gritty and ugly,and I can't blame people for not wanting to look at it. The truth is scary. It keeps us up late at night. Much easier to believe that Trump isn't a traitor, and that we haven't been sold into the hands of the Russians.Easier to think too that Trump isn't mentally unstable, for that too is frightening.
Unfortunately, the truth IS hideous beyond belief ;that Trump is a mentally unstable sociopath in his 70s who is so unnerved by the 35 indictments within his inner circle for conspiracy with his Russian benefactors that he shut down the government & is declaring a national emergency, while soliciting funds from not only our legislators but from average Americans! One wonders if he's trying to shamelessly squeeze every last penny he can out of this hustle before he flees to Russia ahead of being fitted for an orange jumpsuit? Creating an immigration crisis is an attempt to distract attention from the real story-Putins interference in our elections. It not as if this is the first time Putin's done this. Putin fixed the Ukrainian 2004 Presidential elections. He keeps trying. The Ukrainians discard the putrid Putin trash. In America, we have some greedy men inside working to keep Putin's puppet,because he means a fat portfolio for them . God willing,Mueller will prevail. In a sane world, Trump never would have been allowed to be a candidate when he refused to submit his tax records for scrutiny.
