Yeesh. Dude's got problems haha. Cartoon was pretty dark tho. Frollo tries to burn Esmerelda just b/c he wants to fk her, Frollo almost kills a friggin baby, and Quasimodo didn't even get the girl!

They coulda made an interesting plot point about how both Esmerelda and Quasimodo get into trouble b/c of their looks and they connect over it. And Pheobus can just hang out with his horse, who he named Achilles, just so he could say "Achilles, heel"... yeah he's a sodomite hahah

You're right, it was a lot darker than just about any other Disney animation I've seen. Frollo's lust for Esmeralda is something that can't be soft-pedeled; it's integral to the whole story.
