Not Texan, but I'll thank them anyways. Without them a lot more of the country would be suffering from leftist policies - they at least keep them at bay at the federal level. Also have one of the lowest homeless populations despite one of the largest overall populations and one of the healthiest economies in the nation. Much better role model for the smaller states than Cali or NY.
