Yes, in fact "socialism" is a tool that most countries use a percentage of, and pretty much everyone supports a degree of it, but someone who actually calls themself a "social-IST" sounds like they want to use an unreasonable amount of it, and they usually prove that to be true. How socialist would you have to be before you're basically a communist? The "democratic socialist" policies on taxing the stock market are pretty extreme.
