Really all you need to do is get a doctor to give you a prescription for a handicapp placard. I had one while I was going to school and having radiation treatments a few months after 3 major surgeries. Besides my bald head and scars(which I have been told aren't noticable) nobody would have been able to tell I had anything wrong with me
