Doesn't really matter. The wall has its purpose just as a road does. A wall has a much more important purpose, however. 90% of the heroin coming into this country is from the south. And human trafficking is out of control. Walls work and is worth the price.

This isn't even about money and the ridiculous imaginary price Trump has pulled out of thin air, it's all about politics.

This is about a President who's greatest selling point was telling the people that he was building a wall and making Mexico pay for it. Now, he's lost the house and somehow you think the opposition party with the freshest mandate of the voter is going to give him the ability to fulfill his campaign promise with their voters money? Seriously?

You're not being honest with yourselves if you think for an instant that Mitch M. would ever agree to funding such a thing were it Hillary trying to build it. The Dems have absolutely no pressure to fund the wall and will never support it and now that Trump has caved, he's even lost support in his own party. The GOP doesn't have the stomach for another shutdown like that.

What makes you think Trump has caved? He already stated that the government will reopen for three weeks while the democrats supposedly come up with some form of plan for the funding of the wall. If they don't, there's one of two options he'll do. Declare a state of emergency and just use Tue money from some worthless government funded program, or shut down the government again until the democrats quit being idiots and offer a plan of their own.

There have already been 13 democrats switching sides and turning on Nancy Pelosi and Chuck Schumer. There will be others. The democratic base is crumbling. The funding for the wall will happen sooner or later.

The dems have little problem with fencing in appropriate places. Trump gave up because he was losing support on his own side. 6 turned side so they had no majority.

Trump will likely get something but he won't get his gold plated wall along the entire border. It isn't needed.

If Trump thought he would be successful declaring a state of emergency, he already would have done so. Most say that would slow the process down even further because it would immediately be blocked in court.

And he will declare a state of emergency if the democrats don't cooperate. It's going to happen, just as his 5.7 billion will be confirmed. And so what if it gets taken to court? He has the votes in the Senate to get it. Like I said, many of the democrats are turning against Pelosi and schumer. They want this wall as well.
