I am not a socialist, but to say that the American taxpayer was ripped off from the extraordinary measures that were taken is simply not true.

I still think it’s true and the taxpayers got ripped off. The only “transfer of wealth” was from the taxpayers to the Wall Street tycoons. The “transfer of wealth” to poor people story is a fake news media fairy tale.

You do remember Bush was the President for virtually all of the decision making process, right? Crash was in September. Bush was in office till late January. BOTH parties were to blame for that mess. Perhaps at greatest blame, was Greenspan. Completely inept at his one, single job. (Seeing a financial calamity coming from a mile away)

Actually, everything everyone hated Bush for doing was expanded under Obama. Everything from the Mid East war, drone executions, the use of water boarding and prison camps, Halliburton’s contracts and expanded Wall Street bailouts. This is all not disputable fact. Obama was Bush to the tenth power. Except he pushed for gay marriage and transgender rights.

You are making ignorant statements. Ignorant statements tend to close minds. One of the first steps Obama made when entering office was to ban waterboarding within his first 100 days. Not only did he ban it, he was responsible for making public the relevant facts of torture that was committed by his predecessor that opened up the entire story. But, you say your accusations are, "not disputable". And I'm the one with the closed mind. Yeah, this is a complete waste of time!

Obama said things, but that was alwaysto cover up what he actually did. The truth is, as with everything Obama, the media just stopped reporting on anything after Obama made a few nice statements about it. The only person to say waterboarding and other harsh tactics ever stopped was Obama.
