Okay, so the fact that it's a corgi makes me want to talk about mine. If I fake throw the ball, he won't go look for it until I show him an empty throwing hand. Then he starts searching for it, and especially behind me, because I often drop it to syke him out.

Dogs are not stupid.
We kind of are because we keep breeding dogs with other dogs and we don't know if they are brother and sister. Plus it's backfiring because the dogs are getting weirder and weirder. That's how the bulldog was made. (But if y'all like the bulldog I do too.)

You never have to chase them around to drop the stupid ball. And they hate you for it
