Hon, I've met Donald Trump, who I didn't get the chance to work, for on a project I was managing in the late 1990s. In the first meeting he was gracious, polite, and considerate. He spoke with each of the 35 people working with me, asking very good questions and listening carefully. When he returned a month later for a second visit, he addressed each person by name, even asking about the well being on one man's infant son who was going to be hospitalized shortly after his first visit. A vigil for peace is fine, taking action to reduce deaths from illegal drugs smuggled, reducing 4,000 murders committed by illegal aliens in the last 2 years, reducing the 30,000 sexual assaults committed by illegal aliens in the past 2 years, reducing the 100,000 physical assaults committed by illegal aliens all of which has come through our southern border is compassion in action. I have worked on the border in Arizona. I have spoken ( I am bi-lingual) to too many who explained they weren't smuggling drugs for money, it was a ransom to get their daughter, wife, sister, aunt, or mother back from cartels who had kidnapped them. I spoke with "mules" who told me of their women being kidnapped, raped and murdered by cartels to create fear to control their cities. We encountered more than a few illegal aliens' bodies who did not survive the journey. I have been threatened and menaced by coyotes. I worked in areas where there was a substantial border barrier and encountered not one single illegal wandering lost through the desert. A wall is compassionate, it is kind, it is necessary. Calling all Republicans brainless is indefensible. You are a decent but misguided person in some respects. Watch the documentary "Cartel Land" it is worth your consideration.
