You also wouldn't be Irish if you couldn't talk for 45 minutes straight about being able to take a joke (Or anything for that matter, I have 2 really good friends born in Ireland, one an oldtimer lefthanded drummer that drums for me and yes, he knew Bono, OF COURSE) hahahaha

It was like page 165 or so in my images lol

Actually deers look remarkably similar.

Every once in awhile, when im sad and the world gets me down, I like to think that you had to pay royalties to the animals in your memes. That cat, disappointed dog, the estate of Tom and Jerry :P

I'm not sure I'll be able to recover from that devastating insult 😮 might have to delete my account, you'll have to find a real Scot to make fun of then ;-)
2 ups, 5y
Now don't do that. There aren't any Scots here. Imagine the fights in the politics streams lol (I have some Scot/Irish blood)

Well speaking of geographical (and political) misconceptions (but which everybody believe to be true none the less), let's throw in another one...

(I often get odd looks when I say I live in the Netherlands and not in Holland, which is geographically true).

Yeah I know a lot of people who would refer to dutch people as being from Holland not realising that Holland is only a part of the Netherlands. Best way to remember Everyone from Holland is from the Netherlands but not everyone from the Netherlands is from Holland. ;-)

I see you know your Dutch geography... Good!
(Another fact: Holland does border to NEITHER Germany nor Belgium. If you count the North-Sea as a border, then you *could* say it borders to the UK).

The part of the Netherlands were I live is Noord-Brabant btw ;-)

To be honest that's all I know about the Netherlands XD Can't say I've heard of Noord-Brabant and won't even attempt to pronounce it ;-) I live in the west of Ireland Co. Mayo.

I shall also be honest, all I know is that Dublin is the capital, that Limerick lies somewhere in Ireland, that Northern-Ireland DOES belong to the UK, with Belfast as its capital, and that it's causing quite some issues with the Brexit. I've been in Ireland once though, and nearly everything was wonderful. The country, the villages, the mountains and the friendliness I encountered was overwhelming. The only bad thing was... the weather....

To be honest I'm fed up with hearing about Brexit. In the case of a hard border between northern Ireland and the republic a lot of people will be calling for a united Ireland which naturally risks reuniting tensions between the protestants and catholics in the north. Yeah we always get complimented on our friendliness. I quite like dutch people (well from those I know ) I always found them to be nice if not a bit blunt but I actually think that's a good thing ;-) they are a lot more open than I think Irish people are

I understand your feelings about Brexit. I was always wondering who the Irish thought about it, as I only hear the UK people's opinion, and since the Irish can be affected by that border issue. Well, you may know that Belgium used to be part of the Netherlands, and some Dutch don't even recognize it's independent status and would also think it's better for the two to be reunited. Now the tension is not nearly as bad as the Northern Ireland issue, but I don't think it's gonna work, anyway. And when it comes to the Dutch being open minded? I may be able to find a video that can make you change your mind about us, but then again, I take you for the open-minded type who will understand it only shows a small portion of my countrymen.... :-/

Well that was just my impression of the dutch people ayleast from the ones I know anyway :-) but I think its like anywhere there are a minority of people its the same in Ireland, I like to think of my country is quite progressive and open minded but then there are plenty of people here who are prejudice when it comes to things like race, homosexuality, religion etc. Thankfully they don't represent most of us here ;-)
