No, they needed 60 votes in the Senate, so some Democrats had to vote for it before it could pass. It did, however, pass congress. Try paying attention, they use the word pay, but you don't really need to spend any money....
217-185 vote in the House... but no Dems in the Senate would vote for it.

Mitch--Senate MAJORITY Leader. The only thing that matters. The fact that they / Mitch doesn't change the fact that the Republicans were the MAJORITY party at the time.

Why didn't Mitch use the nuclear option? He could have. As the MAJORITY leader. He didn't want to. Not my problem the Republicans couldn't get it done.
the meme says he which I am not. I say it means Trump. I agree! Doesn't matter that folks don't understand and still comment on things. Republicans were in complete control of the government for two years. Period.
No, ignorant one complete control would require 60 votes in the Senate.

Wikipedia list of US federal funding gaps. Furlough = yes. The current shutdown began during the meeting of the 115th Congress. President, Senate and House all Republican.
WHY DID THE SHUTDOWN EVEN BEGIN? REPUBLICANS CONTROLLED THE WHITE HOUSE AND BOTH CHAMBERS OF CONGRESS. HOW INEPT DO YOU HAVE TO BE TO SCREW SOMETHING UP WHEN YOU ARE IN COMPLETE CONTROL?
