Even back in your boss Putin's good ol' Soviet days, the US supplied 70% of the wheat the USSR consumed, at a discount paid for by the taxpayer. SEVENTY PERCENT. We could have ended Communism there by not feeding them. But of course, Germany got hungry and thus WWII was a thing so yadda yadda.

Are you truly so utterly ignorant that you never knew that all the FORMALLY prosperous European countries during the colonial days just so happened to be the seafaring ones who thus acquired colonies and thus riches abroad? Portugal, Spain, France, UK... And as they lost their colonies, their economies crumbled. The order I wrote them reflects their once prominence over the rest of Europe AND the order their economies began to crumble. Portugal used to be the richest, most powerful, most important country in Europe. It's a joke now. Then came Spain, ditto. Britain still seemed sort of important till just decades ago (admittedly mainly because of the USA pushing its wheelchair for it), now it's melting into a pile of syrupy poo as we speak. Prior, the Middle East lead the world economically, culturally, scientifically while Europe piddled in the fetid morass of the illustrious Medievel Era AKA the Dark Ages. Where was Europe's supremacy then? Ahh, but then came along the Renaissance and the Age of Science and Discovery (hope the "s" word didn't give you an asthma attack), which coincidentally coincided with Venice and Portugal and then Spain taking up maritime trade. Coincidentally the death of the Muslim Silk Road ended as sea routes to Asia and Africa by those rising European blips circumvented the need for it. See how this works?
The US has also been in decline for over half a century now. Spread Westward, pillaged what we could, now the riches are running dry.
We increasingly depend on foreigners to prop our best universities up. Science, tech, and medicine research and development is also depend on immmigrant Asians, Middle Easterners, and yes, Africans since not as many Jews are coming as they did before. Not too many Hicks in those rarified realms lately, huh?
