Since you didn't notice it, that is an HTTP site, not an HTTPS site. That means that everything that site runs is pulling data from your computer and broadcasting it in plain text. Additionally, since it is HTTP instead of HTTPS it is susceptible to MITM, XSS, and malicious code execution without you realizing it. By visiting HTTP sites, you open home to hackers and allow them to use everything on your network as part of a botnet. Next time please consider this before linking to a site that does not allow HTTPS connections.
