And monkeys kill each other. Don't lecture me about understanding people. How many suicides have you prevented? (6 for me) How many body bags have you zipped up? (2 for me). How many marriages have you helped save? (23 for me). How many people have you managed in a day? (135 for me). How many people have you encouraged to live to their full potential? (more than 250 for me, I've lost count) How many lives have you saved, and I mean saved in a life threatening situation? (5 for me) How many people have yu watched die because you couldn't do anything to save them? (I don't even want to say for me- more than I want to vividly recall) How many racists have you stood up to in defense of someone being threatened, even when it meant taking a beating from 3 or 4 thugs at the same time? (4 for me and I have the scars to prove it)
I haven't lived 60+ years only to know nothing about people. If I was an atheist, and I'm not- I'd want the preventative aspects of people of faith for just a little protection from the evil around me. If you read the Bible, you'd know nothing is new, people have been drunk, drugged out, raped, murdered, robbed, beaten, cheated, lied about, and on and on from the beginning of time. I'm tired of the constant attack on true people of faith who quietly live good and decent lives by superior-ist, arrogant atheists who cherry pick a few high profile, opportunistic hypocrites as an example of why Christianity is a "fraud" and why their spiritual waste land is superior. The world without Christian ethics is a horrible place, trust me, I've seen the worst humanity serves up. Maybe if you spent more time reading the Bible you would understand people you know nothing about.
