ya, it's something america will never forget, a big mistake, in terms of all of the concentration camps that we put them in. You know, they tried to make up for it by paying every Japanese family who was affected 10,000 dollars and writing each a personnel letter. (don't mind my spelling)

We (as a country, obviously, not personally) made a lot of mistakes at that time. The forced internment, the bombings, and the occupation being the chief ones. Not knowing the long term effects of using atomic weapons is another one. It's good to see that 3/4 of a century later that Japan has been able not only to rebuild but also in some cases surpass the United States

It was sort of a warning to everybody. However, it did cause the USSR to accelerate their weapons program and thus the cold war was born
