Ironic

Is America about it's people or it's politicians? So many of them not only get paid more, with benefits, than most Americans, but also more often than not create more harm than good. Yet when they die they're treated as something special. Maybe we don't have to say good riddance. I'm not big on speaking ill of the recently deceased. But maybe we don't have to make such a Big deal of it either.

And it's not just the military in full garb. It was pretty much non stop all over the news today with talk about how there would not be a dry eye in the house and all that Jazz. It sends the message that somehow presidents are more important than normal every day citizens which are exactly the ones they were suppose to be serving. Among other things it facilitates classicism, which the oligarchy is the penultimate exemplar of.
