I agree. The KKK were a bunch of violent thugs from the past. That being said, I see history repeating itself with groups like Antifa, Black-Lives Matter, and other groups who use violence to push the left's political agenda. Conservative voices on campuses are frequently violently silenced. At Middlebury, rioting students landed liberal professor Allison Stanger in a neck brace for the crime of defending a conservative academic’s right to speak. Similar organized violence has become the norm in silencing Conservative views on Berkley.

I am simply not seeing those kinds of organized violence from Conservatives. But I do see repeated examples of it coming from Liberals. And, quite frankly when I see the organized violence coming from the Liberals, and I do not hear liberals denouncing this behavior in loud voices, I take that as tacit approval of those organized violent groups. And that tacit approval dates back to the KKK, and is still present to this very day.

I think Charles Krauthammer had it correct in this quote:

Leftists and Liberals when faced with their history:

In all seriousness though I'd also like to point out that people in antifa do not actively identify themselves as democrats. Not to mention it's speculated that what is now Antifa originated in Europe, specifically in countries like Italy and Germany for reasons that are pretty obvious. So the idea that they are in any way related to the Klan is absolutely ridiculous.

Explicit dehumanization of the other. A common fascist tactic.

I'm not saying they don't vote for them, but saying democrats are the most leftist candidates is not a lofty statement when the overton window has been pushed as far to the right as it has.

Libertarian socialism actually predates the more colloquial definition of libertarianism. Look it up.

"Libertarian socialism actually predates the more colloquial definition of libertarianism. Look it up." The Libertarian has been around since the 1970's, but Libertarian ideas have been around since 16th century.

Communism requires big government, yet Anarchism is also staunchly anti communist. Also Anarchism is a school of Right-wing thought, so It still requires small government.

Not really. Many sectors of leftist ideology such as libertarian socialism vouch for both public ownership of industry, and as little state interference as possible.

Half of the prominent Republicans openly opposed Trump until they had to go with him or no one. I disagreed a with John McCain on a lot of things but at least he never sold his soul like the other guys. Same goes for Flake

Sorry, but "interracial/gay marriage, abortion, affirmative action, and the election of a non-white president" are not radically leftist positions, those are some of the most baseline milquetoast liberal viewpoints out there. How many democrats and other left leaning politicians have supported things like public ownership of industry, progressive taxation, the abolishment of private property? THOSE are radical leftist ideas; never mind the fact that most democrats (like republicans) are still bought off by big companies to support their interests over the needs of the working class. Never mind still that politicians further to the right are either complicit or actively fighting tooth and nail to undo most of the examples you just mentioned.

"And Antifa are animals. You can claim that's a 'common fascist tactic' all you wish...that doesn't make it so."
Yes it is, the nazis literally referred to jewish people as "rats."

As I said, Antifa first got its bearings in places like Italy and Germany during the early twentieth century, which weren't exactly leftist utopias at that point in time last I checked.

Quite an improvement I've gotta say, going from proprietors of white supremacy to people who are actively fighting it by any means necessary. It's pretty sad when you compare it to how the republicans turned out though.

I don't think either of those. I think Republicans became business oriented, like the Dems back in the day, and I think the Dems became suckers for black votes, like the Republicans back in the day.

"fighting" white supremacy by promoting violent "non-white" supremacy."

Even if that were true it still proves my point, doesn't it.
