Couldn't agree more. Hasn't the world had enough of the religiously entitled civilising the noble savage

Btw,I think it's really stupid that going to the island is illegal. I mean,if you go there with full knowledge of the tribe's actions towards the visitors, you deserve what you get. No need to make it illegal

Not to mock someone getting killed, but the island was banned for visitors for a reason.

It's a basic twofer.

Yes, why can't they concentrate on improving their own reckless ways instead of projecting them on others to fix via proxy?

I am related to one and have known some Pentecostals, mainly Puerto Ricans (and one Italian-American) who converted, and thus are generally zealots to the max.

Met one fella who it did help get his life straightened out (drug addiction, etc), and he wasn't in your face about it all, so it was all cool.

But the rest are a bunch of overly preachy phonies who give hypocrisy an even worse name. They're one of the reasons I got turned off religion.

I kind of do like their music, and have walked slowwwwwly past their services just to hear it. But the sermons, them yeling about J(H)esu Christo! y el Demonio! on a mic, like shut up already...

On this fella's case, was hanging out with a couple of friends when he came by. They offered him a beer, but he no longer drank because of religious reasons. He talked about it briefly, but wasn't preachy. After he left, they told me he used to be a real mess, that it was huge difference.

Not sure how typical of Pentacostal music it is or how much of it is PR flavored. Kind of like Baptist Gospel, but with more call and response, handclaps & drumbeat.
I've heard it in PR and here in the Bronx. Not in awhile though since I've moved back to my old neighborhood.

Architecture, yes! Catherdrals are beyond amazing, even spare basic houses of worship catch my eye.

It's no different than if he broke into your house when you had a no trespassing sign on the door and then tried to alter your thoughts and control your beliefs. I think everyone has the right to defend themselves against these invaders. I live in a friendly neighborhood but I've completely stopped answering my door because of these religious and political nuts showing up..
I wish someone had killed this guy before he made it to the island and terrorized those people and risked their lives with disease.

I feel bad for the guys family and it is sad that he died but any one with half of brain could have told you that this would happen. This tribe had reacted violently to every other thing from the modern world they came into-contact with that's why going to this island was made illegal on top of this he was risking killing every person on the island with diseases.
