When I took Journalism 101, they stressed honesty and facts. I remember that you are always supposed to spell someone's name correctly, for a number of reasons. You want people to have no question who you are talking about. So, you never leave out a middle initial, drop a letter and in some cases you actually spell out the middle name. I was told that if people print/broadcast an imcorrect spelling, it is sloppiness or propaganda. When Fox News reports on the non-existent Democrat Party, they might have been sloppy. The legal name of the organization is the Democratic Party. The Republicans call it the Democrat Party for political/propaganda reasons. But, Fox News wouldn't sacrifice their reputation by promoting Republican propaganda, would they? Only on days that end with "y."
