FDR is the greatest argument against modern liberals, lol. A socialist democrat before the supposed "big switch" yet still a racist shit. It's always hilarious seeing them do mental gymnastics trying to make him fit into their narrative about how before the civil rights movement democrats were conservatives and republicans were liberal

SO THE 3 TERMS CONTROL MONGER FDR'S RACISM IS PROOF THAT THERE WASN'T A FLI | made w/ Imgflip meme maker

The control monger FDR who threatened to stack the supreme court when they disagreed with him? yeah, check. The FDR that pushed socialist policy on a country that was ideologically opposed to it? yeah, check. The FDR that let a communist dictator take over half of europe and thought it was worth it because the bigger issue to address at potsdam and afterwards was limiting british imperialism? yeah, check

Yes, him, who presided at a time when the Socialist and Communist Parties were growing in the USA, especially popular with labor, immigrants, farmers, and the swelling ranks of the new poor suffering under the Great Depression.

The economy wasn't the only thing collapsing, we were on the brink of revolution.
He adopted some Socialist policies to not only make them happy, but to protect Capitalism itself.
You are aware what happens to Captains of Industry when the hungry pissed off masses decide to eat them for dinner, yes?

They stop providing jobs to those pissed off masses(due to death or leaving the country) and the retarded masses suffer mass starvations, generally

None of your deflection disproves Dems still were racists prior to the mid 1960s which we three agree on so what is your point again?

Was that during the 1948 DNC, Truman introduced a plank in support of civil rights, and irate Southerners (Strom Thurman, etc) responded by splitting off and forming the Dixiecrats.
(I had looked that up a few weeks ago for a comment, so that's pretty much how they put it)

Not reply option for your "Savage" comment down below, but yeah, I'm a Little House on the Prairie Conservative, haha. Screw these "Damn Dem libz want the free stuff that I'm supposed to get instead of them because they took muh great grandpa's slaves away waa waa" hypocritical fartbags. No one is forcing them to recieve entitlements and use our infrastructure and municipal services, they should shut up and pay for their own shit instead of asking their leftie enemies for a permission slip.

Oh, was wondering why this thread now.

HAha, the other day I said OhWell told me was a Socialist which he denied and asked for proof. But I was too lazy to search for this.

I owe Jying a reply from 4 or 5 months ago! I wish there was an easier way to sort these. Sometimes I search and search for something only to realize the meme was deleted and the comments - history and all - were too.

That's the one thing I do wish for here.

I am thankful for the upgrades and don't wnat to be like these spoiled pusses demanding more, but a way to check them off at least or seperate them when done...
Scrolling down, one wrong touch to have then start scrolling again from the top, ugh.

Plus often it's the lengthier ones that require more time (like the Jying one) that end up getting buried because I'm busy flame warring with Chosawan or something.

Caused a log jam?

I got a bunch now from AnnOnAMouse on that religion one, and I'm too tired atm to find extensive respectful ways to say, "Um, still, no"
1 up, 6y
I feel guilty about that, seeing how much they put into it, but I already said what was to be said about it. Anything else would be redundant fluff.

True. When asked for specific proof the answer was that Jesus never got around to saying all he was going to say because he was busy walking the dedert in silence with his apostles or some crap and yadda yadda. I had barely skimmed through it.

That democrats were leftists prior to the mid 1960s. I certainly never tried to disprove them being racists. I still think they're racist today, just not openly :)

Read the OP meme and your comment to it. It's about racism, yes?

Add to that social upheavels during his three terms and his response to it (and lack of to some. The South remained segregated, and their racist citizens tended to be what? Yes, Democrats. The North was barely better, and FDR did what to repair it?
Same with those Captains of Industry. He went Commie on them? No, he shored them up) and some adjustments in gov't services were made, one of which you are boycotting.

This is just going in silly circles.

None of this disproves that he was leftist, so I'm going to take it that we're not actually disagreeing for once? What is YOUR point? Other than the weird off-the-wall Soros-Trump conspiracy babble, you seemed to be getting at something.

I was going to ask, lol. And you're right, I'm not boycotting them - I am not opposed to all social programs. The level of social programs that society needs is I think where we probably disagree. That and the practicability of them. I am currently boycotting ACA in the sense that I've chosen to go uninsured this year considering a decent quality plan that cost me $200 a month about 4 years ago is now nearly $700 a month. For $200 bucks a month now I can expect something that is going to want me to pay the first 10k of any hospital bills and comes with a nice fat list of restrictions and horrid terms otherwise. That is a result of a social program gone wrong. Call me crazy for being skeptical about people talking about even more radical plans if you like, but fool me once...

Satire or serious?

Oh, wait, you thought I was a leftie. Tell that the jaden169. She thinks I'm a rightie.
To me, you're both morons.
Horseshoe Theory, look it up.

We had this convo, twice - months ago - States should pay for their own expenses by themselves, remember?

Communist? Socialist? Federal, State, and Muncipal Goverments probably spend more on each of these gluttonous obese maggots in a day than the USSR spent on its own in a year, probably longer. Where do you think these skyrocketing deficits and the debt comes from *waits for "ButObamamadethem"*?
Capitalism? Sure, on a chart on a shelf in the Smithsonian.

Want the cure to our economic woes and these trivial left right left right flame wars? We need a depression, bigger than all the rest. Pull the plug and let's see how all you whiny feuding sibling tapeworms fend without Uncle Sam to keep your gelatinous asses nice and warm and comfy and plump.

We. complain. about. being. fat. because. food. is. too. cheap.
How stupid is that?

Socialism? We're long past when we revolted against the British Crown for it.

God save the King and give him all out money, the way it was meant to be.

Botflies.

Horseshoe theory is about far right and far left.. not sure I qualify. Not sure jaden does either, tbh. Might want to rethink that.

I tried coming up with a response to the rest... and tbh I don't even know where to begin. Half seems to be hitting the nail on the head, half seems to be just bitter ranting.

You're right, we are going to disagree.

Other than the elderly and disabled and the extremely poor poor (not these fatties with the same modern convieniences as the rest of the entitled everyone else), not only should there be no free universal health care, nor affordable care, nor expanded medicaid/medicare, there shouldn't be insurance, PERIOD.
You can camp out on line for the next Windows 32, spend over $848 on a phone once or twice a year, $1300 or more on a lap (my tablet cost $85, I have no idea what this stuff costs), buy a new SUV every 2 years, and spend $5 on a cup a coffee everyday, you can afford to pay for you own damn medical care. If being on the leaderboard here and posting statuses on FB is worth more than your health, then you should get what you pay for.

Same with mortgages and loans, none. Save and buy your own damn house upfront and you won't have to worry for the next real estate bubble to pop to send you on the street. No bailouts, handouts, walkouts.

We're a society of gluttonous cretins who think gov't is here to save the 'us' and not the 'them.' F**k everybody and their parasitism, get off your lazy asses and do it yourself, down to the street in front of your house. Prove Obama wrong and build it yourself.

We have more and better infrastructure and municipal services than Marx could have whipped up on a truckload of opium fueled reverie, let alone what any Commie country has offered.
Real Free Market or die, that's how it should be. Don't want to pay for it? Then you don't have to have it.

Maggots.

They get eaten. Get it?

Hate to burst your shiny bubble, but the great war you expect because Soros is going to replace Trump with Obama to take your guns isn't happening. War is fought over hunger, not extracurricular hobbies parading as threatened inalienable rights.
