It was a response to trump. In retrospect, she probably should have talked with native tribes before undertaking this. It seems like it might hurt her more now.

She only wanted to prove heritage. She was taking it from (I guess) her parents and grandparents that they did have ancestry. She wanted to call the wager from trump. In retrospect that is quite silly. he will never give in, and it probably hurt her reputation with American Tribes and maybe some others. One cannot play trump's game and win; he makes up rules as he goes. Who does that? ; - )
