Anyone who wants to jump in the gauntlet with those raging imbeciles now have their very own stream to do it (and yes, I am one of them).
Anyone who doesn't want to look at Trump and Hillary's nauseating mugs occupy 2/3 of the Front Page no longer have to.
Not everyone want to see them constantly with a sparkly sprinkling of jokes about shooting survivors of school shootings and how no self respecting rapist would go for that fat ugly cow and "Muh whyte priviledge is being stowen by dead trans feminaza darkies who Demz giv muh welfare check too" memes and whatever else the craven blood lickers need to stomp their little booties to relieve the excrutiating boredom of their busy on Facebook 'job' on.
What's the difference, really? Other than saving those new to the site and unaware how it works from being inundated with memes designed to cause discordance? Many have complained about it killing the site. From the complaints about the solution, it may seem that at least for some, this may be the intention.
There was a bunch complaining early last year about NSFW memes being too, well, NSFW, and that the opt out option wasn't suffficient, that the raunchier ones should be separated into another stream if not banned all together. Some prominent members left because of it.
Seemed silly , one check, problem solved, but bottom line, it's like going to a regular beach that just so happens to have nudists in it and you have the option of shutting your eyes when one walks past if it bothers you.
Not only is it a benefit to those not wanting to be exposed to political memes, it's also a benefit to those who like them. One tap, and that's all there is. No more wading trough memes about legos and goofy puns and cute cat gifs. The main beneficiaries of a separate stream for politics are those who are into them. Go just three pages deep and you'll see memes that wouldn't have gotten past page 8 before.
The only issue I have is not seeing them on someone's profile, plus the others, like reaction gifs and cats. The again, does everyone want to see gaming memes?
I agree, but what I'd like to see instead of having desperate streams is to have a filter option for politics just like NSFW filters. That way there's one stream and one true front page, but you can filter out the topics you don't want
Seemed a filter would/should be the obvious solution.
But the seperate stream was made for a reason - people irked by the deluge of hostility. Imagine how it would seem to someone not into it. Looking at the FP for those unfamiliar may be a turn off.
For those interested, they no longer have to wade through what doesn't interest them as well.
1 up, 3y,
Then don't click on it. And if you're so triggered everytime you see someone's face, you're the one that needs the therapy, not the one posting the meme.
"Anyone who wants to jump in the gauntlet with those raging imbeciles now have their very own stream to do it (and yes, I am one of them)."
"Anyone who doesn't want to look at Trump and Hillary's nauseating mugs occupy 2/3 of the Front Page no longer have to."
G-G-Git it, farmboy?
Because inbreeding has blessed your gnat sized cranium with a malfunctioning gob of fetid mucous, let me break it down for you in the simplest terms:
Me like new streams.
Me like politics.
Me like stream with politics.
Me like stupids like you.
Me do what me want.
Don't like me getting triggered? Then shut your stupid face like I've shut you up before.
You want your head permanently entrenched up Trump's anus but with your tongue reaching for Hillary's twat two years after she lost? Then settle your silly ass down and enjoy the ride in the stream where you now belong and stop begging to put it back where others don't want to hear you whine all the time about how poow widdle CaptainTwitter Tears has been having a bad hair day since 1969, mkay?
1 up, 3y,
F**k I like you Modda, way to articulate. I have no problems with the streams, a big f**k all burger.
Yeah, like big sob story, it's their own safe space. They no longer have to try to drown everyone else out with every other meme on the Front Page being about the same exact political theme of the week. Wonder what it will be this week, since PocoNOThontas is done.
Poor things, they haven't been this upset since they thought David Hogg was coming for their widdle gunz.
Ok I looked it up. I think I understand what it is. Websites have to scan for stolen material. That is only copywrited things. You shouldn't be allowed to use others intellectual property. It is not reposts unless they are licensed. It is stock photos and copywriter music.
I'm glad it makes you happy, but what about everyone else. Maybe the majority is happy with this, maybe they are not. I suggest maybe making a pro change meme to see what happens. As of now, anti change memes have had a lot of upvotes. I guess time will tell if this way works. I my opinion, it's a mess. You are counting on people posting to put it in the right category.
The problem I see with "all" option, you still have to categorize what you post. There is still no way of stopping someone posting anything anywhere. Sorry, if I said this before, I lose track of who I tell this to. :)
