I only come to imgflip to make memes, and share the awesome ones that are on the hot pages. So I don't know who complained before. I only saw changes this weekend. If you are upset with me having freedom of speech. Then take it to the moderators off imgflip, and ask them to delete the meme. It's very simple to send feedbacks by using the feedback option. All I'm asking for is one general front page. Think about the non-users who know nothing about this site.

My point is a front page of a meme site should have "VARIETY"
Example if I'm searching for a political meme to share to a Facebook page. How would I know to click on the categories, especially if I'm not a user on this site? Now if I happened to figure out where to go to get that political meme I came for. That means the memes on the main front page won't get seen because I wouldn't have to scroll through the "hot pages" to find what I came for. Therefore I won't see what the site really has to offer.

I hope you won't mind this question: Are you saying that it would be a good idea if the imgflip front page were set up so it's most beneficial to new users? I want to understand you right.

Not just new users, but none users as well. Most people who search for memes don't belong to a meme site. So if I'm a none user and I have to click on "political" to get a political meme, there's no chance of me looking at other memes. But if I come to the front page of the site with "A Variety of Memes" and have to search through the hot pages, there's a chance I'll share other stuff. Not just what I came looking for. I have no problem with the categories. But I think there should be one general front page. ;)

I think the new system is terrible. I have to admit...and I don't even want to...but I have noticed the absence of a couple annoying users. I would still rather deal with them than this system.
