Again with an ad hominem. Why can't you have a civil discussion without insults? Yes, I know what the Citizens United ruling does. It gives companies the same rights as unions. If you want to get rid of corporate money from elections, that's fine. However, money from unions, fraternal organizations, and the Soros Foundation, and PACs will also need to be stopped. Only donations from private citizens should be allowed.
So far this year the Democrats have done quite well from companies and unions. The Democrat Attorneys Assn. has given $2.2 million to the Democrats, Soros Fund Management has given $1.3 million, Renaissance Technologies has given $2.6 million, Simon Property Group $1.8 million, Paloma Partners gave $2.3 million, the SEIU $1.3 million, and the teachers union gave $1.1 million.
