When you remove something, that doesn't mean you have to replace it with some thing else. When doctors remove cancer, what do they replace it with?

It depends on what is meant by "removing religion from the public eye". If it means not putting religious displays on public property, I would agree, I don't want that. If it means people can't express their religion when out in public, I would disagree. I may not like it, but they have every right to do it, and I wouldn't take that away from people (as long as they aren't doing anything illegal).

It is unrealistic to remove all religion. Religion: a pursuit or interest to which someone ascribes supreme importance. That can be anything from worshiping a higher power to LGBT rights. Humans love to push their ideas on others (we do with our meme's) I am ok with it but like all things, it has to have a balance. If you ban Christian's from speaking don't invite Muslim's to speak, if you are holding a drag queen story hour at a public library, don't let any religious group protest during that hour. That should happen when it doesn't interrupt, or not at all. My meme was highlighting the people that mistake rights with agenda's. The world is full of haters that will attack just because it makes them feel better when an actual discussion might be a better option.

My main concern is this: does the action in question violate the Constitution? If no, then I have no desire to stop it. If yes, then I will point out that it's unconstitutional and that it should be stopped.

The constitution only limits a national religion it does not remove religion or even limit it from public view.

It does not remove it, but it does limit it from public view if it is government-endorsed (with a few exceptions like a military or congressional chaplain, which I would also object to)

To late, congress started with a prayer and now it is tradition.

And tradition is ironclad? Lots of things used to be "tradition" that modern society no longer sees as acceptable: racial segregation, not allowing women to vote or work outside the house, slavery, oppression of religious minorities or "heretics", public executions, bloodletting, the list goes on and on and on

Nature abhors a void, folks. Have you never heard that and witnessed it before?

I've never witnessed it when it comes to Christianity, no. The people I know who removed Christianity from their own lives are happy and content and doing just fine, myself included.

The opposite of Christianity is alive and well. Just look at the state of America.

I sure there are some on both sides but I live in the deep south and nobody around me of any ethnic group or religion is against statues.

Find me one non-Catholic church with statues other than manger scenes, and I'll give you $100M. (Anglican doesn't count.)

If you had 100m I might try but your point is invalid because you are mistaking your lack of seeing statues with hatred of statues. Most southern churches I have seen leave the statues outside, not inside as nothing is higher than Christ. You will find stained glass windows of biblical figures or figures of Jesus but that is about it. That is just doctrine not hate. Hate would be non-Catholics seeking out statues and destroying them, radical Muslim style.

I though you wanted conversation, not to troll me, so you got me. I thought the 100m was a bit much and mistook you for an adult, so sorry.

Darn I was insulted by a child on the net, my day is ruined, sigh # me too. Can I join your victim club now? I am new to this progressive stuff. I will be headed to work soon so I may not see any response you might have but I hope your day gets better, your bus is on time and for once you can keep your lunch money.

What Protestants are against statues? If you're talking about idolatry, where people worship statues, yes, you are correct.
Isn't worshiping statues stupid enough so all people should be against it?

I never said they were wrong: Moses forbids all graven imagery of living things. Worship or no worship don't enter into it!
