yup. at worst, if we believe everything she said, its sexual battery. but sexual battery runs from snapping a girl's bra all the way to rape. we need to take a hard long look at what type of society we are if we're condemning a teenager to a lifelong punishment for touching a girl's boobs over her shirt without consent. while its wrong, its hardly worthy of a lifelong sentence.

Good point. I actually think lesser offences are a matter or regaining mutual respect. No one talks about the sexual misconduct of young girls. I have sons and theyve experienced it. Even the supreme court reporters do not think this will stop the nominee from being confirmed. The WH doesn't want to see an investigation. So the senators, who are mostly lawyers and businessmen, are going to ask questions of alleged victim and assailant without training. Seems (not) legit and unbiased.

You have not described the claims. Go back and read. Don't be that guy who diminishes the claims, reduces responsibility of the alleged assailant, and dismisses the importance of the events.

Stripping away the supposed trauma of her thinking her was going to inadvertently kill her because he covered her mouth with his hand, she said they were both fully clothed and he was groping her. Nothing below the belt happened. No skin on skin happened. Bad, definitely. Worthy of a life sentence, not at all.

"pinned her down and covered her mouth" correct. that makes it a sexual battery. but he didn't beat her, choke her, expose himself, touch her below the belt, etc. all of which would put this on the more severe side of sexual battery, which runs on a spectrum. what he did is considered to be on the mild side; covering her mouth notwithstanding.

Well she was harmed 36 years ago, that is a bigger life sentence. How is his life ruined? Is he receiving threats? Has he lost his judgeship? Has he had a criminal verdict? Doesn't look like he is suffering. He just might not make it to the supreme court.
