forget light and dark....if the earth is flat you should be able to see the entire thing from the top of mount everest. Or a plane at 35,000 feet for that matter.
LET'S SEE...THE SUN LIGHTS UP APPROXIMATELY 50% OF THE EARTH'S SURFACE AT ALL TIMES. IF THE EARTH IS FLAT, WHY CAN'T YOU ALWAYS SEE THE SUN FROM THE TOP OF MOUNT EVEREST?
